Letters to Art Jaw....

From Teresa Jaynes:
Hi,

Seems that my Mom was so impressed by ArtJaw that she stole your idea! The "CAC" that she refers to (below) is where my Mom takes her sculpture classes in Dallas (and apparently most everyone there knows me by first name?!). I'm going to write to ask her to please fully credit you as the creator of ArtJaw and direct folks to your site.

From the CAC in Dallas to their community:
Greetings All!

I have to get the April newsletter together in the next 2 wks and would like to add a new feature to it.  If you will take a look at this website. (Teresa’s is up) and click on a photo on the left, you will get the short piece that person wrote.Thank you Mary Jean for the idea!  Anyway if you can just pen a short story about an something you have experienced in the artworld, ( humorous, dramatic, interesting, informative, whatever you choose) I would love to add it to our newsletter.  Those of you that can get it done in the next couple of weeks will be the first aired, so to speak.
Thanks!

From Chris Tucci:

My name is Chris Tucci and I am a computer support tech by day and an amateur sports artist by night. My story is pretty long and boring, and I will spare you the details, but basically it goes like this:

Kid draws all the time; kid is encouraged to become an artist; kid goes to highschool and continues his artwork but succumbs to the pressures of the "normal" crowd; kid forgets about his love for drawing and art and follows a "normal" degree in business and a career in business and computers; kid wakes up one day and finds out he is 38 and really misses drawing; starts to draw again (badly at first), focusing on his love of professional hockey; encouraged by his wife he enters the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame's first art competition; wins $1000 first prize has entry made into collectible lithograph and piece to be on display in the Hall of Fame when built...

I am not an artist Shelley, but rather a hockey fan who loves to draw. I have no idea how the established art community works... it seems closed up, conceited and aloof to me, thus I have basically "given it the finger" and done my art in my own way by my own rules.

If you have comments about Art Jaw stories send them to info@spectorspector.com.
